Default Up/Down pipe

If i fit a decat downpipe to my wrx ppp do i need to fit a decat up pipe too?

forgot to mention, it's a my02, i was under the impression they had cats in the up pipe?? i hope i'm wrong

Yes there is a cat in the up pipe and if you take out the downpipe cat, you should also take out the up pipe cat (on a newage).

Cheers pal. I was about to order a decat system but now my car seems to have developed some piston slap !!!!!. It IS due it's 30,000 mile service so i'm hoping the slap will go afterwards??

Make sure you get the downpipe wrapped before fitting.
