Sounds like a valve problem, bent/broken

dont think its a broken or bent valve! ive been looking into a 2.5 short motor and all the other bits like gaskets and oil pumps water pump and things to do the job and was wondering what people think of the 2.5 over the normal sti engine! and wondering if i should just get a complete engine from a braker? what do people think? cheers! im all new to this ive only had my first imperza about 9 months and its been off the road about 5 of them! and only done about 3k miles out of the 37k that its done! I would have thought it should have lasted longer than this should it not?
