Question Can changing your fuel damage the boost solenoid?

It looks like the boost solenoid on the car is on it's way out

I had it changed last year as the car was 'hesitating' between 3000 and 3500 revs. The car developed the same problem today on the way down from Cumbria.

I always use Optimax, however, today I had no choice but to put BP in as there was no Shell station close-by. The car developed the fault within 30 miles of filling up.

The odd thing is, the last time I had the same problem was the last time I was forced to put BP fuel into the Scoob.

Coincidence or not? Your thoughts please

change of fuel won't effect boost solenoid..

I suggest you drive it gently until the current tank is empty and try on Optimax again..

If it is the standard ecu map then it should be okay on BP, but if it was within 30miles of changing then I would eliminate that as the problem.
