Question

Come on someone must know this :

my m8 is going to color code my mirrors and wants to take the actual mirror out of the housing so we can get paint in. Anyone know how to do this ? Is it worth it ?

Get a couple of blanking plates from a PC expansion slots & ease them between the plastic surround & the mirror & ease out like you would take a tyre off a bicycle wheel. Its probably got a double sided sticky pad as well, so expect a bit of resistance. Apparently the other thing to do is to warm the plastic up with a hair-dryer to make it more maleable.

Inside are 4 srews to take the backing plate off.

I had mine done and they didn't take the mirrors out...
Close inspection on mine proves they didn't need to either
