i was looking at a 1995 wrx at a import dealer the other day that had about 60 000 km on.
i didnt think about it at the time because the car was very clean.
even the engine bay looked mint.
BUT i noticed a stain on the sound deadening under the bonnet.
it was above the coolant expansion tank and looked a cream colour.

could this be a sign that the head gaskets have blown at some point?

im looking into buying this car so any advice would be very helpful.

other than that it looked exellent, no smoke, very quiet engine
