Finally got sick of the double din nasty stereo fitted in my wrx 52plate. ordered the single din thing from the $tealer and was surprised to find it was like a cd holder type thing. for some reason it wont line up with the holes in the left and right plates holding the original double. do i still use these plates or is a new cage required. Cheers for any help!!!

 

You need to drill extra holes for the dash pocket to fit

 

Have you bought the Forester pocket or the black pocket without the 'door'?

If you've bought the Forester pocket you'll need to drill new holes in the cage to match the pocket.

If you have the black pocket, the kit should contain some additional plastic brackets that fit onto the side of the pocket, enabling you to screw the pocket/bracket onto the original cage.
