Post TECH QUESTION

Hi all,

I'm on my 3rd set of plugs the previous 2 sets allowed the car to splutter and miss after about 3 to 4000 miles. The first set were Denso and the last 2 sets NGK 7b's, changed yesterday. The car has been spluttering, coughing, hesitating and generally running sh*t for the last 500 or so miles. Changed MAF, checked pipes, crank and timing sensor, leads and coil pack then plugs. It now running like the dogs bo**ocks again.

Its a 1998 JDM WRX TypeR V-Limited and has been rebuilt with JE pistons (rattle when cold), Eagle rods, Sti9 crank, 3'' exhaust, uprated oil pump, Walboro, FX reg and APEXI FC mapped by AndyF.

My questions are: What could be causing the plugs to go t*ts up and would I be better with hotter plugs.

Cheers

Post TECH QUESTION

Hi

the plugs I removed look normal and the gaps .7.

Had the car on Paul's (zen) laptop, it highlighted a problem with crank & timing sensors, so they got changed again. It still misses at 6300rpm so an earthing kit was installed.

Still concerned about the plugs though.

Thanks

Dawg
