Can anyone shed some light?

I have a '93 wrx which has been cutting out occasionaly on hard boost!
CEL code 45 coming up!

So I cleaned solenoid (and surrounding sensors) and relative pipes today! and reset ecu.
Just took car for a spin now and it has cured the cutting problem, but for some reason the car is slower (feels about 30 gee gees down)!!! and very slight surging in power delivery.

I have not got a boost gauge to see whats happening there (will put one on soon) - although it does sound as if it's boosting as much as normal (I think).

car spec is:-
chipped ecu (ks rom)
hks induction
hks back box
(still has both cats on)

otherwise the engine sounds and runs fine!

any ideas guys????
