Default Car won't start

Also posted in Drivetrain (by mistake).

Help,
My 93 WRX wouldn't start this PM.
It's turning over, the fuel pump is working but it won't fire.
I've joined the connectors under the dash but the CEL is flashing continuously (meaning no fault found?).
The exhaust overheat warning lamp is on tho' - what does this mean?

Is it something to do with the lambda sensor going faulty?

Answers or advice greatly received.

Angry

Car ran fine all day Monday until 100 yds from home where, on a slight incline it started to misfire and wouldn't pull up the hill.
Tried to do an ECU reset but it wouldn't run properly, still no error codes on CEL.
Today it wouldn't start so I changed the Coolant temp sensor but it still won't fire up.

I cleaned the crank and cam sensors on Sunday.

Any ideas?

I had this problem with an Evo 4 i imported, obviously different car but the same symptons, and that turned out to be the cam sensor. Try and borrow a mates if possible and if that does not work try the crank sensor next.

Cool

It was the fuel pump, it wasn't delivering enough pressure.
One new pump later and my car has been returned to normal (and my wallet a bit lighter).
