Hi all,
Can anyone tell me the compression ratio of my95 uk turbo and is it different to the imports if so why? as i;ve been told early uk cars have a higher comp ratio meaning they can handle higher boost pressure than imports is this true? cheers

don't know, but higher compression generally means you can take less boost not more.

Your car will have a compression ratio of 8.0 : 1.
An early (versions 1 & 2) Wrx and STi (import) has a higher compression of 8.5 : 1.

The UK cars used a lower compression so that they could run safely on our 95 ron fuel. (In 1997 UK cars had their compression raised)

Dito what Tath says above.
