100mph shacking badly!!!

Default 100mph shacking badly!!!

hi,im driving a 03 impreza STI Jap version and when i drive on motorway this car shacks over 100mph.ive done tracking and wheel balance 3 times after i found this problem and it still shacking.but it not shacks even at 99mph,just over 100mph it shacks badly.espicially the dash board nearly come off!!!

does anyone knows what the problem is that? i been spent so much money for fix this problem but it still not become better!!!thanks

does it only shake above 100? I'd say it's the wheel balance. I doubt any tyre fitter would check the balance at that speed. Take it back to the wheel place and get them to re-check the balance - you shouldn't be charged for this.

do you think about any mecanical problem? coz every time after done tracking and wheel balance they say perfect!!!!

yes,it only shacks above 100,not even 99mph!

Have u tried to get the 4WD alignment done? Mine did the same, but not as fast as 100mph.. did the balancing thing, no change.. got the alignment done.. no shakes/rattles..

sorry SHAKE!!!!! do you think it will be any mecanical problem,such as engine or gearbox?

no it is the wheel balancing

take it to a diff place that have better equipment or drive at speeds of less than 100 mph

Gotta say, I preferred 'shack' to 'shake'.

It's wheel balance. The better balanced all FOUR of your wheels are, the faster you can go without noticing problems.

It is more likely a buckled wheel (or two!) if you have had it balanced so many times - they couldn't get it wrong THAT many times. Hope this helps.
