Can anyone tell me if you need any special tools to take out a subaru gearbox or just a good basic tool set

You'll need a hub puller for the front CV joints.. And a 2 post lift would be nice

If your planning on doing this on your drive way with a couple of trolley jacks be prepared for lots of swearing!

yes i was told there easy to take out but a lot of hard work doing it
