450BHP UPGRADE??
Wanting some advice guys, and tuners advice, I have a V5 sti and looking to upgrade to approx 450bhp. Lets torque bhp site projects figures of 0-60 = 3.15 and 0-100 = 8. ( with a weight of 1250kg)That is what i'm looking for.
My question is what is the best route, rebuild mine with stronger internals or go for a 2.5 with uprated internals?
I'm looking for longevity aswel, and one which can handle spirited driving more!!
What would the limit be in terms of bhp for the 2.0 with uprated internals, I would prefer minimal lag, so no ernormous turbo and very driveable...
all advice apreciated

Have a look at www.scoobyclinic.com they have a tuning package you might be interested in. Only about £14k for the full package

lots of interesting replies, but no suggestions as to which route either 2.0 or 2.5?
Reason I ask is, is 450 on a 2.0 more reliable than on the 2.5 and is achieving 450 on a 2.5 easier so as to speak?

450 bhp on a 2 litre is no big deal and properly built will be very reliable.
Arrow rods, Omega pistons, a small bump in compression, mild head and inlet manifold work, 740cc injectors, the correct tubular headers and 3" open neck exhaust system and inlet system and a properly mapped ECU and you have sailed past 450 bhp.
If you are serious, have a word with Roger Clark Motorsport.
