Question speed restriction

HI ALL
RECENTLY BOUGHT 95 STI PRIVATELY.
THE SELLER USED THE OVER 10 YEAR OLD RULE SO ONLY NEEDED AN SVA.
THE CAR IS RESTRICTED AND IN MY EYES SLOW.
IM FROM ABERDEEN
ANYONE KNOW WHO WILL DERESTRICT IT,WHAT IT INVOLVES AND WILL I GET MY OOMPH?
HEARD THAT A LOT OF PLACES WONT LOOK AT JAP IMPORTS.
ALSO ANY IDEA OF COST
PLEASEHELP ME OUT LADS

You can buy converters that go one the back of the speedo, between the cable and the clock, this will deristrict it from 112 mph to 140ish! They cost around £90 and are easy to fit.

You wont get more power, but you wont hit the limiter at 112mph. Try www.grahamgoode.com or www.rogerclarkmotorsport.co.uk. They have very reliable mail order facilitys

It fits on the gearbox end of the speedo cable. Bit of a pain to fit to be honest but possible. I found it better to modify the underneath clip and push the de-limiter through it since the new clip is strong and difficult to fit cause you cant see it under the "gadget". You will also need new dial faces since i think its a rule that the MPH have to be in large figures on the outside of the speed'o'. the MPH speed will equate to KMH on the old dial!
