Default Desperate de cat downpipe question

I have just bought a decat downpipe for an STI 3 (import). When the existing original downpipe with cat has been removed we have not only a lamba sensor near the turbo end but a smaller sensor just after the cat. There's no provision for this in the new pipe. I have a feeling it is a egt sensor can it be left out either connected or unconnected from the wireing loom?

please help car is still in bits at moment......

It's more than likely the Cat on fire sensor, simply tie it up out of the way or unplug it further up
