Default fitting cobra seats to a scoob??

any ideas how the hell your supposed to do this??

i was advised to buy some universal subframes for the seats but theres no way it hell they will fit to the sliding mechanism of the original seats.....

so how are you supposed to do it?

Ill be phoning cobra direct tomorrw to see what they say but its very annoying having bought these already to find they are next to useless....in fact, they ARE usless.....anyone want a pair of subframes??

Take the universal jobbies back to the shop if they're no good and give the guy some sh*t! Remember "Nice guys finish last"!

if the seats are base mounted then cobra do subaru specific subframes

you can get them from demon tweeks, i think i paid approx £50 each for them.

they come with a sliding mech so you simply bolt your new seat to them and then bolt the seat and frame into your car

if the seats are side mounted then i don't have a clue sorry

the cobra subframes are very poor IMHO, I have fitted a pair of cobra Evolution seats and they were all over the place, sitted far too high, and looked pants.

Much better off making a rail at the rear between the normal mounting holes and fixing the seat in place. The fronts are easy to adapt.

Graham (911) has some good pics of his seat somewhere.

If you go with the cobra subframe, and then add there "adaption kit" for side rails (2 strips of thick steel) the weight creeps up so much that it's not worth it from a weight POV.

I have some old brakets that I used on mine too for the drivers seat.
