Default WRX/STI radiators and fans - is there a difference?

I recently went to buy an impreza sti rad, it was buggered but had 39 rows and 10 vanes per set length. I then looked at a WRX rad and it had 36 rows and only 9 vales in a set length (about 4cm - i was using a key).

anyhow I went to another breakers who's STI's had 36 like the WRX and the new ones have 42 rows??

Are these just all manufacturing differences? or intentional for additional cooling on STI's?

So is there a difference between rads for an STI and standard WRX? and what about the fans?

Cheers Al
