quick question?
#1 hi all,just fitted my wrapped my headers, up pipe and downpipe they have also been sprayed with high temp sillicone coating, been for a quick blast round block and they are smoking like mad anyone know why?

You are burning off the solvents that are in the wrap and paint, this is normal. Just take it out for a good thrashing tomorrow to get the exhaust really hot to get rid of any remainind residue. Had to replace a section on my headers without thinking went for a drive called in at Tesco's and as I walked away a woman came after me syaing my car was smoking, penny dropped, explained why then took the car for a good thrash. No more smoke, hope this puts your mind at rest a bit.
