Default Engine rebuild time!!

Well all is not happy with the scoob engine! Had a bit of a low revs missfire and wanted to get to the fault. Changed the plugs first still no good noticed some oil coming out of the dump valve removed intercooler lots of oil inside
Next up compression check looking good till i got to number 2-15psi
Removed the engine and am going to strip it down myself as had a fair bit of experience but not a great deal with the scooby. Anyone got any tips or tricks??? Just going to remove the head and piston to see what the damage is first! Cars a my99 uk turbo.

Thanks Lee

oh dear a 99my bet the piston is missing part of the ring land when u have stripped it and found what to do to repair it ( new short motor ) before u run it get your dealer to get the area service bloke to come and reprograme the ecu to stop it doing it again its a well known fault also have the maf and oxy sensors checked

Since when have dealers been doing reprograming.
They can just about use a select monitor.

The above happened on my my99, is there a known weakness with the pistons themselves, or is this just a common outcome due to other failures?
