Default clutch help please

i have a sti 1995 now my clutch is starting to bite right at the top of the peddal is this a early sign that it is on its way out? now my mechanic has said he will fit a new one for 150 pound but what clucth should i buy to put in it ??

I'd be inclined to get an uprated one; tougher and nicer to use. They don't come much better than the Exedy Organic clutch from David at APi. Bargin if you get one in a GB.

Mae sure your friend knows what he is doing, or you might have to pay twice to get it done properly. TBH £150 is not much cheaper than most specialists would charge you to fit.

They'rnt easy to fitt. Make sure your mechanic has fitted them before. You'll need a new release bearing and spigot bearing. I fitted a ap organic clutch to mine, they're good for 350bhp, i also fitted a lightened flywheel to.
