i have a MY99 STI 5 type r and have just had a complete engine rebuild after it dropped a valve.now it won,t boost properley could the ecu have gone into safe mode? as the soloniod controling vacum pipe from the turbo does not seem to be opening.if i remove the vacum pipe i the get great boost but its not controled and boosts of the gauge.any ideas?

 

Does any1 have any idea what this could be???

 

speak with your engine builder. It could very well be that they have not connected something up correctly to limit the boost whilst it is being run in.
