anyone got a map sensor for 97 spec wrx kicking around?? me mates is fooked.wont start when hot!! cant get one anywhere

 

You sure its the map have you swapped around? I just ask cause mine wouldnt start warm and it turned out the crank position sensor was failing when warm. There was a page with the diagnostics but i looked for it today and its down. I printed it though...PHEW.. Its now in a plastic sleeve in the glove box.
Most of the sensors are dealer parts. I phone them up and give them my chassis number and the part i want they are very good. They are Monty's of sheffield if your really stuck.
Ive heard some dealers wont have anything to do with imports. Is a 97 still a classic? If so then WRX is import.

 

its my mates 94 wrx with 97 spec engine fitted,he had all tests done and even changed crank sensor to no avail and auto elec pointed to map sensor,local scoob dealer cant get one into coub=ntry for weeks
