Default Partially decating 05 UK STi PPP advice please.

Have an 05 UK Sti PPP. have done a search but found nothing specific to my car. I currently have just an Afterburner Vortex backbox and STi panel filter to complement the PPP.

As I understand it one of my cats has already been replaced with a sports cat during PPPing? Which one?

I believe there is one other standard cat remaining?

Could I remove this standard cat for a bit more burble n' poke without a re-map immediately?

I know the benifits of a remap and that will happen when funds allow. However I have heard of boost spikes, det etc. on newage STi's.

I would like to know which cat should be removed for a bit more grin factor without causing the car a huge problem. (not a full decat obviously)

Also would I still be legal, if the car was MOT tested after a nice thrash to warm the remaining cat up nicely?

All advice welcomed especially from newage owners talking from experience.

Cheers,

Dan

Center resonator m8, as shadower said there is only one cat and that's the downpipe sports cat. There is no point is changing that.

as above only cat is down pipe and thats a sports cat. they do leave heat shield from cat after the down pipe on over new ppp pipe. if you changed down pipe you would get a little bhp but main thing is it increases exhaust noise! but may effect warranty thats why i've left mine for now and also why you on about mot you got another 2years til that only thing is if you were stopped by plod and emissions tested

any benifit from changing the centre resonator? Presumably mainly noise levels? Would this affect running at all?
