Had the car for about 6 months now and had a problem with the boost .
Decided to reset the ecu by connecting up the green and black plugs under the steering column....All was fine until I nipped out to the shops earlier today and I hit the cut and the boost guage showed well into the red , about 1.5 bar !!

Should I fit a dawes device ? , or is there something that I have messed up on ?

oh the ecu is the ppp version on a 98 uk

clean your boost solenoid out, do a search on here as to how to do it
