Default New 2.5 idle/running problems

Hi guys! Im having a few problems with my newly run in 2.5.
The car runs fine untill i put my foot down for the first time.It splutters at 4500rpm up the first time i boot it.Give it a few minutes and it doesn't do it again. But the idle plays up too, drops really low sometimes and causes a banging noise, often stalls when i put my foot on the clutch when moving.
Also,(sorry!) theres a very tinny rattle,at lower revs, but doesn't increase in pitch with revs, stays constant till about 3000rpm,sounds like it's coming from the drivers side of the engine.

Spec:95 uk heads and parts
2.5 sti block
hybrid fmic
exeedy lightend flywheel/clutch
standard 380's
standard fuel reg
walbro pump
mongoose full de-cat
ecu chip(cut resistor job)
powertec filter
dv
megan headers

Whould a damaged breather cause problems? The plastic breather that plugs into the drivers side head is cracked,it's under the inlet manifold and a bitch to get to!
I have an uprated reg,but not fitted it yet.I also have some 740's to fit when i take it for an apexi power fc,but want to sort the problems out befor i do.

End of essay!

Thanks,Tim

If the ecu is not mapped for the engine and mods ...

tinny noise could be a heathshield BUT could be DET.

Hesitation is probably lean running based on the above (could also come from rich but unlikely given a 2.5 and 380 injectors !!!)

Suggest driving with extreme care if not mapped for the setup and get your Apexi in the car and mapped before you suffer grief. Doing that will probably solve your problems

cheers

Speaking from experience, and very costly experience, I agree with bob 100%

try not to drive it until it's sorted!

Before the 740's went in I was maxing out the 380's on my 2.5 at just 1bar boost.

If you have to drive it at all, make sure you are in limp mode and 0.7bar. Anymore any you will definately be running lean.
