Question identifying turbo..?

How do you identify a turbo whilst in situ..? (03 STI so should be vf34..?)

It will have it written on the turbo on a flat bit of the snail.....its like hole punch marked on there.

Use a torch as the writing is very hard to pick up.
I thought only the 02 STi was VF34. Vf35 from 03 onwards?

Not sure, hense the need to be able to identify..

Where abouts on the 'snail' should the id be marked..?

vf34 was only on the 202 not the my02 sti
should be a vf35
