Default Using water

my car is using water, about a radiator full over 6 weeks or so, it has had a head gasket problem in the past (about 2 years ago) when i had a new engine installed by a supposed reputable company and they ended up putting some sort of special head gasket on aparently?
I didn't use it for 18 months, but have been using it for the last 8 and its been fine up untill Jan of this year, now starting to worry a bit, any ideas?

my ra is in for the head gaskets at the moment,it was only using water when on boost but when the header tank level was low if you got closeto the header you could smell the fuel in the water + the air bubbles were coming up into the expansion tank on the inner wing which is also a big give away. some garages do a hydrocarbon test(i think that's what it's called)anyway they draw water from the header tank add a chemical and if it changes colour it means fuel in the water which could be head gasket or worse cracked or warped heads? another thing to check is that the header is not leaking when hot as the plastic ones on classic's can split
