Default Chip Testing???

Hi, I have an old (u8) ecu which buggered up on me ages ago (car would only run with maf disconnected),

The ecu is chipped (plain black chip with red dot in centre). (went well)

What is the likelyhood of the chip being knackered?

Can anyone test it for me,

I don't want to put it straight into another ecu incase it kills that!

any ideas???

Cheers guys

What number does the chip have on it, or a manufacture may help.
May be able to test it.

Sorry sponners.

I should read the whole thread, I have equipment to read/programme this stuff, but without any letters/numbers the device reader may get this wrong and come up with the incorrect chip manufacturer.
