accelerating problem ?

accelerating problem ?
whilst accelerating through the gears the rev counter shot up a few revs as if i had put the clutch down as if something was slipping , any help or advice would be welcome ?

Is it a newage ? mine does exactly the same. At first I thought I needed to go back for driving lessons, but then others commented that theirs did it too.
