Rater than spending 100+ on a decat pipe, cant you just remove the cat from original pipe? Any body tried it?

 

I've gutted both my downpipe and center CATs on my newage and can't recommend this enough, however ....
I wouldn't recommend the same with the uppipe _unless_ you intend to be 100% sure you clean all the crap (left by smashing/scraping out the CAT) out of the pipe. You wouldn't want parts of the old CAT entering the Turbo would you - not so good!
