Default CASTROL EDGE 0w-40 (Racing Extra Power)

CASTROL Formula RS 0w-40 (Racing Extra Power) Was looking at this oil in halfords the other day. It was formally known as CASTROL RS. Just wanted to know if 0w-40 oil is suitable for an impreza wrx, as im getting near to an oil change.

Try the search facility. Loads of previous discussion/ advice argument/ teddies thrown out of cot on the subject.
If that isn't enough refer to the Subaru handbook

Summers on its way - use a slightly higher viscosity - minimum 5w/40
For the money I think there's better out there. Have a look at Opie oils March offer in the trade section.

Dave at API has been re building abused scooby engines for donkeys and suggests 15w as an absolute minimum. Play it safe mate and stick with what the engine was designed to run on.
