Disconnect steering column from rack input shaft

Disconnect steering column from rack input shaft
I'm about to embark on this little gem.. Is it as simple as it looks or should I call out Paul Daniels in advance?
Intend to disconnect the column, hoses and track rods then drop the steering rack complete with the cross member, am I dreaming?
