Question Slight Over Rev ?

I have a 2005 WRX, which when at around 3-4 thousand revs, and I change gear, I have about a 2-300 Rev rise after the clutch is pressed.
This isn't evident at lower revs, and likewise, when above 5 thousand revs...and yes I am taking my foot off the accelarator

Any help would be appreciated.

My bugeye does it I just ignore it now. I suppose when you press the clutch and the load is taken off the engine. Then for a split second before you take your foot off the gas the engine picks up slightly. Anyone else got a theory?

Due to the fact they are hydraulic(sp) clutches?

Hmmm...well at least I'm not the only one that this is happening to.
It doesn't cause me a problem either...but just wanted to check that it wasn't something unique to me.

Thanks

David

Mine does it too (WRX MY03) and as far as I know in many other cars both WRX and STI.
Another posibility is to help when changing gear!

Not wanting to feel left out - mine does it too (01 WRX), sometimes the revs seem to take longer to drop too if I do slow lazy gearchanges I notice it.
