Default 50thou Service..

I know this must have been covered b4 but don't relish the thought of plowing through 500+ pages etc.

rung 2 Subaru Dealers up for a qoute on a

50,000 mile service

got 2 prices..

£270.00
or
£350.00
??
is there anything odd about a 50thou service that i should know..a cambelt change has been mentioned by both??
anything but a great deal of extra profit from the latter??worried cos the latter price is usually cheaper for the rest of my services??

So a 50k/5 year service?
Should be fairly cheap, cambelt at 4year/40k?
A 5 year service should theoretically just be an oil change?
If so, both prices seem steep (take it these are southern prices? )

mine is a MY01 turbo also . its due for its 50k soon it does consist of the cambelt change, i was quoted £420 by one garage and £300 by another called prosport in manchester and from the reports ive read on scoobynet prosport is the best in the northwest. i thought £300 for a service that included a cambelt change is very reasonable . my advice is use the garage you know or have been recommended even if its the dearer one.

TonyBurns, no i'm up Leeds way..it does need a cambelt change, both dealers stated that.. it just seemed a big difference in cost..

mind you if moneys was quoted £420 & then £300 i can live with £270.00..

gunna need new discs/brake pads as well i think,am i likely 2 feel the wrath of over chargement on them as well?
