Will an ECU from a 94 STi (280bhp) go on a 94 WRX? are the connections different and can you get adapters. Reason being, Glenburgie do 92-00 STI ECU for £195

 

Hi m8, it will fit but it's highly dangerous as the stock internals of a sti and type ra are different to a wrx i.e the sti rev's higher than wrx so hence a big bang, if i was you i would'nt bother unless you want to be putting a new engine in a couple days time

the v1(my94) sti is only rated at 250ps not 280.

the best ecu for your car would be a z4 from a 95/96 wrx

this ecu is rated at 260ps and will plug straight into your car, you will also find the car runs better on the z4 too.
