If thats the cable that sits just above the starter its on,to add to the problem no noise from fuel pump?all the other cars ive had you can hear the pump going is it the same for scoobys?could it be the main harness plug under the ic,dont really want to take it off again itwas a drama to getback on.all fuses are fine dont have a cover on the interior one so just checked them all

Yes should hear the fuel pump prime,You cant have any power at dash as no lights,So its likley theres no power throughout the cars running system.I take it you've checked the under bonnet fuses

fuses seem ok but the black cable link looks a bit worn! also there is scorchmarks on the cover. Maybe this fusible link has blown will keep you all updated thanks so far.Saturday morning in germany is not a good time to need parts.
