Front air vent sensor?????

Default Front air vent sensor?????

Bit trcky to explain.
Open the bonnet.Down to the left,black plastic air duct that looks like it's part of the induction set up.Should it have a wire/sensor plug into it?

Urmm, guessing its the MAF. Mass airflow sensor.

Hey i tried.

Think it depends on which MY it is. Mine (MY97) had a small black sensor where you describe. Where the air is drawn in above the n/s head light. Think it measures incoming air temp.

yep that's the one.Mines missing,well the sensor is but the loom end plug is still there.Guess it's either inactive or taking a reading from more or less the same place i.e just above o/s headlight.

I'd be inclined to investigate or replace it, as presumably, the ecu uses this sensors reading.
