I just put plain old water in mine straight from the tap.Its to cool down the intercooler after youve been sitting in traffic(heatsoak).Rarely use mine.If youve been sitting for a while and what to drive flat out straight away then a squirt of water doesnt hurt,If your just gonna drive away normally then no real need to touch it as the air flow will soon cool the inter cooler.

I also read the pure water thing,It only sprays water on to the intercooler. 'pure' water has no more cooling than tap that i know off?I think its to stop rusting but then rain water isnt pure.I've been putting tap in mine for 2 years now and had no problems

De ionised water is best as you dont get the white deposit buildup from the chlorine in the water which reacts to your alloy intercooler, you can use the water from a dehumidifier or the likes.
