Default How to remove rear Lights ?

hi

i got a friend who owns a STI V2, he just brought some STI rear lights, but cant take the orginals off?? all the bolts are off, but wont come out??

any ideas?

If someones had them out before they may have used " a bonding " type of sealent ? Theyre tuff to pull out at the best of times....Have you removed all the nuts i reckon theres around 6

all removed 100% sure.... if there are really some sealent, how can i remove them ??

Try warming with a hair dryer, to soften the sealer

once u have taken the retaining nuts off get ur (or lasses (wifes) ) hair dryer out and from the inside of the boot area heat up the area area of the light cluster, ( the black back )up for a couple of minutes til its quite hot and then push the light cluster out from the inside , and then u will see the black sealant (like dumb dumb) stuff that holds them in, when u put the new ones in seal them up in the same place as the old ones with sika flex , tex flex etc, job done ,
