Will any back box fit any car?

What I mean is, for example, will a 05 STi back box fit a MY00 Classic without modification?

 

no, only classic back boxes will fit on a classic...

Not true as i have fitted a sti8 backbox to my classic today.

I'm inclined to go with what rentonone has said as he has fitted one.

no modification mate,theres just one hanger at the back of the box that doesnt meet up properly but its fine without it,its the second newage backbox that ive had on it. you could even wrap a small peice oy wire round the third hanger and round the rubber for your own piece of mind. it sounds gud to,quiet but a nice rummble,mine is fully decatted tho which makes it a bit louder. its only the backbox that will fit off a newage tho mate not the centre cection. hope this helps
