Default Best Loud Exhaust?

Hi all

Just bought a scooby sti, my04 model, its got the pro drive upgrade pack etc, but i figured that the pro drive exhaust system isnt the best on the market and also i guessed it will be abit quiet, plus i think the exit is only approx 2.5" when i wanted at least 4"

So, my question is as i have no idea, what is the best exhaust to give a nice loud scooby sound on both tick over and acceleration

So far the after burner seems to be a popular choice?

I think the pipe for the prodrive system is approx 2", should i cahnge the whole exhaust or just the back box?

Thanks all

Paul

I have a Blitz, it gives an awesome sound. It's very loud already, should be deafening when I get my downpipe

ive heard a couple of sound files of the blitz exhaust and it sounds pretty loud me thinks

Whats the score with de-cat exhausts etc? as i said i have the prodrive system that is part of the PPP, do i need to renew any of it or just get a Blitz back box? would i be better to re-new the whole system to a 3" pipe?

Ta

im no expert m8 and im not sure what exactly is in the ppp but being as prodrive will also be wantin to make the car mot legal its probably not the best one for the gains, when i put the pownpipe on mine i there was a noticable difference in the pick up as soon as you hit the turbos spool up and rev range. downside is unless you know a friendly mot tester youl have to change back to the original downpipe to pass your emissions test also with the blitz to pass noise level requirements!!!!!!!!!!!

re the blitz you should get a bung with it to reduce noise level, easy to take off/on. will then pass mot. blitz full system all the way

Just bought a Blitz Nur Spec centre and back section on the site here to replace a Magnex system - with no cats. The system sounds great on acceleration or round town, but when cruising at motorway speeds the drone is a real pain. Hoping I can live with it though!!!

When I fitted my brand new Blitz I thought it was loud straight out of the box & was very pleased with it but it got louder & deeper after a few weeks , I suppose its like breaking in a new pair of shoes.

How does it compare with the blitz u replaced it with in terms of sound and looks? Im considering scoobyclinics jap style. Cheers

TSL firestorm - fantastic exhaust for a scooby. Very very loud, scares children, and the wife absolutley hates it. 5in exit pipe in normal or blue tint (typhoon). Price is dirt cheap - under £300 direct from TSL

You can hear it for miles as well. Louder than a Blitz in my opinion and a more purposeful sound.

Also try RCM. They have amazing systems (I think there called team Ice ). They make Blitz, Firestorm and Afterburners sound quiet but you are likely to be stopped.

I run my Firestorm on my Type R 100 miles a day up/down motorway and its very loud. Turns heads when overtaking on the MW, but forget easy radio listening inside the car, or relaxed conversation.
