Default prodrive ecu

hi

can anyone help me

my mate now has a power fc ecu for his car (98 uk turbo) so he gave me his old prodrive ecu for my car (98 uk turbo).

i put the prodrive ecu in my car the car started but ran like a crap and the check enging light came on . so we put the ecu back in the car it came from and has been in for years and it did the same (run like poo and check enging come on).

has any one had this problem or know what i can do to get the ecu working

thanks lee

Im surprised it worked at all to be fair it should work for about 30 secs then cut out as it needs to be coded to the transponder in your key. Can olny be done via a select monitor I believe.....

Suabru dealer will do it via select monitor. They should be quite used to it by now.

No, it's not a big job and shouldn't cost £££££.
