Default intercoolers

has anyone managed to fit a sti v7-8 intercooler to a 93-95 wrx yet ??? if so how? just asking coz i've got the option of buying one.

ive got a spare alloy intercooler fron a version 8

i dont think it can be done as the intercooler would need to go into the bulk head !!!

An MY99 UK or STi 5 cooler is v.tight on a Pre96.
An STI 8 is way way bigger.

You have to use an inlet manifold off a 97~98 and that has other issues with the throttle position sensor being 3 wire rather than 4.. so you then have to run an aftermarket ecu like Apexi for example which doesn't use the 4th wire anyway.

The 97~98 inlet manifold allows more space between throttle body and bulk head.
