Default BOTTOM END IS NOCKING SO WHAT PARTS WILL I NEED TO REPLACE

Hi boys i have a my99 turbo engine sitting in my garage and would like to repair it and keep as a spair but before it was taken out the bottom end was nocking so would like to no what parts i would need to replace any ideas???

hi stiginger the basic part you would be replacing are new crank new bearings piston ring set new oil pump one of the modified ones and of corse the gaskets and oil seals i think the covers most things and as for where to get these parts from would be mark at www.lateralperformance.co.uk

Couldn't he just get the crank re-ground?

well with the cost of a new crank being around 350ish its not really worth regrinding a crank and from what im told a reground crank dont last long

New oil/water heat exchanger and maybe new cam belt tensioner whilst your at it.
Also worth checking valve clearances (if shimmed) and also lapping them into their seats.
