Pollen Filter...Where is it??
Evening all, Right then, I need to know where my Pollen filter is on my99 UK turbo...Anyone???
Is there 1 or 2 filters?
How much do these cost? and where from??
Also, Im changing the filter (s) because Im getting a real strong fume smell, a little like burnt oil, but I have No leaks, and when I put my foot down thats the only time I get the Smell coming through the vents!!
Has any of you ever had similar prob, if so, How did you sort it??
Many thanks in advance for many questions asked

In DK (and I believe in UK versions also) MY99 it is not standard. It will only be there if you purchased it as an accessory and as far as I remember there is only one. It will be behind the glovebox if it is there.

IF it's in the same place as the in the newage cars then it's behind the glovebox. I had to remove the glovebox (fairly simple) to get the old one out and replace. It did get rid of a musty smell when I changed it.
In my case it was just 1 filter, I think it cost £16 from a dealer (major rip off - wait till you see it!)
Mark.

Under the glovebox, if my memory serves me right there are 9 bolts the 1 plastic.
Although the pollen filter costs more than 80 pounds thus better to use a pollen filter from a N15 Nissan (you have to cut it at the one end slightly) that costs less than 10 pounds!

Head under glovebox, in the middle there's a housing sticking down. 2 screws in lower half, undo, if filters are in there are 2 that slide together and they are slotted into the lower half.
New about £22 I think for the pair. Subaru say renew every 12 months or 7.5K miles.
Just remembered the filters were listed in the accessories catalogue if the partsperson has probs finding them.

Sorry my MY00 EUDM Impreza has only one filter as the new WRX.
So my comments are for this type of pollen filter.
I have no part number from Nissan currently but if you ask a N15 filter is widely available.
