Have just purchased a secondhand ecu from breaker,original ecu wont accept the uni chip being installed,wont fuel over 3k rpm,package consists of ecu S8 key transponder and black box that goes under the steering column?I have a cobra alarm fitted should this make any difference,have been told that crank sensor has been reversed etc because of the after market alarm?

this is for a 98 uk turbo phase 1.5
any advise would be gratefully received
