Default REMOVING TINTS

HI IVE GOT REALLY DARK TINTS IN MY WRX AND TRYING TO REMOVE THEM, ANYBODY GOT IDEAS? IVE TRIED THINNERS BUT THEY WONT BUDGE??

which tints, front or back windows? Is it film or dipped glass?

SIDE WINDOWS AND BACK WINDOW, ITS FILM SEAMS TO BE 2 LAYERS, PEELED 1 LAYER AND THIS LEFT GLUE BUT THE FILM NEXT TO GLASS WONT BUDGE!!

i had same trouble,get the elbows warmed up and crack open a bottle of white spirit enjoy

Yip, white spirit!!!!!!!! Took me ages, soul destroying!!!!! Make sure and not spill the white spirit!!!!!!!!!! Try contacting one of the suppliers like Pentagon - they may know something we do not!!! What about replacing the glass!!!!

The tints on the back of my RA are showing their age and are starting to bubbling and peel at the edges. I contacted Pentagon about getting it removed and then replaced.
They quoted me £180 to remove it from both back windows and the rear screen the re-fit it with a similar tint, minus the bubbles
Sounds a lot but when you consider that you could easily screw up the heated element on the back window i figured it's not too bad.

They did warn that once the film has seperated and your left with just the glue it's a nightmare to get off

If you search on google about removing tints you should find a few helpful hints on how the pro's do it, good luck

a friend of mine does tints and he uses a steam wallpaper stripper to remove old ones.
