Well folks i have a 94 WRX i just swapped the bailey dumpvalve that came with it for a HKS SQV one, its not onto the intercooler i just swapped the old for the new, now if im acting the ****!(yeah i know i shouldnt but you gotta love that sound!) and i plant the foot and blow off the valve but then immediately clutch and cruise to a halt the revs drop down to nothing and even sometimes cuts out, all the hoses are on tight, any help would be much appreciated, great site by the way! Oh yeah im living in ireland so cant get to any of your subaru gods over there!!!

 

was there a problem with the bailey d.v fitted?

 

HI I have had the same problem, there should be some sort of nut on the dump valve it needs adjusting to the right level. Some time it sorts itself.
I kept playing around with it and it sort of fixed itself after a while whislt I kept on moving the twisting the nut.

No the problem goes away if i put back in the bailey d/v,
So if i have the bonnet up fiddle around with the position of the screw and keep checkin if the revs drop you think i could sort it??

Was the bailey a re-circ or atmospheric DV?
