Default fitting oil pump

got a virgin, fresh as a daisy uprated oil pump.
got the cambelt assy off, seems like a pimms o clock time to change the oil pump to me

question is, other than removal and refitting, what else is required, where to prime, how etc?

a new o ring and a light smear of sealant no need to prime just crank it with either coil disconnected or injector disconnected

Be very careful if you fit the oil seal to the pump first. It can be a little tricky easing the seal over the crank, without folding the seal lip over, and this can dislodge the retaining spring on the inside of the seal.

Mark.
