Default alloy pulley wheel?

anyone tried a lightweight pulley wheel, they reckon 8-10 bhp , surely that would be noticable and worth £40

Cool Light pulleys!

Hi there, I too saw these recently & had the opportunity to buy at a good price. I don't know anyone who has done this mod to ask there opinion. I was sorely tempted as I am about to get my 2001 WRX re-mapped with all the usual mods(de-cat,f/pump,injectors,TD05,induction,etc). However with these mods comes 300-320 BHP!! how much can my engine/clutch/g'box take? another 9!!!I was asking myself. Very nervous & excited in equal amounts. The increase in throttle responce is what intrigued me, but it would require new length drive belts, one for air con as well, (though they recomended binning the A/C as saps power, but I still like my creature comforts)
I will keep a close eye on this thread, as I too would like all the info before re-map day............it's not too late to do a bit more shopping!!!!

Yep I fitted one to my MY00 and it made a very noticable difference, OEM part = 2.5k alloy pulley = 500g

You will notice faster spool up and quicker gear changes.

well worth the money imho.
